10 Tips To Manage Valentine’s Day Without A Bae

February 14th is just another winter work/ school day. If you are in a relationship this date may excite you. Being single on Valentine’s Day is wack though. Really wack.  Valentine’s Day is cute if you have someone but what if you don’t? This holiday can enhance the feeling of loneliness.  I know, I’ve been “without” a few times and it’s not fun.   1. Have Dinner With Friends- Who wants to be alone on Cupid’s special day? You don’t have to be lonely, invite a few friends out for dinner. If your money is funny you can invite your friends to your home to share a meal and some laughs. So, if you don’t want to be alone you can spend the evening with friends. Feel the love!
  2.  Random Acts of Kindness- What better way to receive love then to give love? Give someone an unexpected inspirational note. Buy a friend a meal. Help someone out. Spend the day blessing someone else and you will be full and blessed in return.

  4. Make Something- Another great way to manage “single’s awareness day” is to create something for yourself or someone else. Are you good at crafts, music, poetry, sewing, painting, woodwork? If you have a creative hobby or interest then this is a great day to indulge. The result could be a gift for someone or simply personal satisfaction.
  5. Clean House- No date tonight? No Problem! This is a great time to catch up on cleaning you house, room, hard drives, desk, bathroom or whatever. Cleaning seems like a great way to be productive today!
  6. Go to A Show/Movie- Who says you have to sit at home alone on this day of love? Go check out that film or play or event you keep talking about. Since money may be tight you can invite a few friends over to Hulu and laugh!
  7. Workout- Nothing burns off excess energy and frustration like a good workout. First of all, you do not need access to a gym. You can jump rope, go for a run, take a dance class, play football or anything to get your body moving. Since physical activity is a known mood enhancer you will certainly feel better.
