21 Things I’ve Learned as a 21-Year-Old

Turning 21 back in September was an amazing day for me. I woke up feeling ‘Flawless’ and ready for a Mimosa which I was now legal for. Living on my own, being an upperclassmen, balancing school, work, and a social life had its challenges but  over the course of this year I have learned so much about myself, relationships, and life.

1. Trust in God

2.Carry yourself in which you want the world to see you

3. Make time for the people who make time for you

4. Volunteer & pay it forward

5.  Moms need you as much as you need them. Call her

6. Build and maintain connections for your future

7. Champagne

8. It’s acceptable to take a mental health day

9. Misery loves company

10. Be humble

11. Don’t let a class full of football players stop you from speaking up

12. Over dressing is never a bad thing

13. Only give your feelings & energy to a guy who is worthy of it

14. Talk out problems rather than letting them build up

15. Eating healthier isn’t actually that bad

16. You don’t have to put EVERYTHING on social media

17. Some things that you want to work out just won’t

18.  It’s never too late to apologize for something you did in the past

19. Not everyone is going to like you despite how hard you try

20. You can never have enough girl’s nights

21. Being 21 doesn’t mean you need to have your whole life figured out. Take it one step at a time
