Flying High: Ejide Fashina


Philadelphia native Ejide Fashina is literally soaring through the sky and making it look easy. She is the President of the National Black Coalition of Federal Aviation Employees, Northeast Region. She is also Front Line manager for the Andrews Airforce Base, the federal base that houses the President’s Air Force One plane.

Ejide began her education at Temple University’s Fox School of Business, and later attended the Federal Aviation Academy in Oklahoma City. She then started her career with the Federal Aviation Academy where she then moved on front line manager. Ejide is also a member of the NAACP, Black Pilots of America, Tuskegee Airman of Philadelphia, the Bessie Coleman Foundation, and many other prestigious organizations.

Ejide credits hard work, determination, and God as the reasons for her sucess. She states, “Everyday that I am given the opportunity to get up and go to work, I am beating the odds and living a dream that most would say is impossible.” Ejide is doing amazing things with her life and serving as an inspiration to those around her. Take home message: never ever give up on your dream and use your passion as your motivation!
